About this year’s contest
Based on essay and video submissions, a winning team of students will be chosen. They will have an opportunity to work alongside Timmy Global Health (TGH) in Ecuador, Guatemala or the Dominican Republic to help provide high quality health services to underserved populations.
Teams of 2-5 pre-med, medical students and residents as well as students in allied health fields are invited to enter by answering the contest question in 500 words or less. Ten finalist teams will then be selected to create a video. The videos will be posted on the website. One winning team will be selected by a panel of judges.
The nationwide contest is sponsored by the AMA Insurance Agency Inc.
The winning team will collaborate directly with Timmy Global Health as they serve those too often underserved. They’ll learn about the problems Timmy patients face. They’ll analyze and think through strategies to solve those challenges. And alongside Timmy, they will act.
